Why doesn't Joe's charge when a car fails?

Joe's is a test only STAR station. It does not do repairs or refer you to a repair shop, so it has no reason to pass or fail any car. Charging only for passes keeps the result honest.

What should I do if my car fails or is Not Ready?

Get the repair or drive cycle done, then come back for a new test. See the Not Ready guide.

Is there any fine print?

No. $60 is the full price for a passing test, certificate included, with no extra credit card fees. Apple Pay and Google Pay accepted.
