We service light duty gasoline and hybrid vehicles (under 10,000 pounds) from model years 2000 to 2025, including cars, trucks, SUVs, and vans. Vehicle height is limited to 7 feet 6 inches due to our drive-thru setup. We do not test diesel vehicles.

All you need is your vehicle and a method of payment (we accept credit cards). For faster service, bring your DMV renewal notice. If you don’t have it, don’t worry we can look up your vehicle info using the VIN number.

At Joe’s smog, you only pay for a smog check if your vehicle passes. If it doesn’t pass, there’s no charge for the inspection. This ensures you get an honest and unbiased test every time.

At Joe's Smog we’re open Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and on Saturday from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. We’re closed on Sundays to give our team a well deserved break!

Our average inspection time is about 5 to 10 minutes per vehicle, thanks to Joe's drive thru facility and the latest, fastest smog inspection equipment.

We’re designed for convenience, operating on a first come, first served basis with no appointments needed. Just drive in, and we’ll take care of the rest!

We are a State of California Licensed Smog Check Test Only Center. We perform STAR and regular smog checks required by the California DMV for gasoline powered cars, trucks, SUVs, and vans from model years 2000 to 2025. We do not offer repairs or referrals to repair facilities.
